Third Grade Summer Reading List
Students Entering Third Grade
All students entering Third Grade must read The Hoboken Chicken Emergency
by Daniel Pinkwater. In addition, three other books must be chosen from the list below.
Each chosen book must belong to a different category and a book card must be
completed for each book. Parents are encouraged to read and talk about the books
with children, especially if the book is written above the child’s independent reading level.
