Resource Room
Mustard Seed School seeks to serve a diverse community of learners.
We believe that each child is gifted with a unique set of strengths and challenges. Teachers strive to provide opportunities for all children to cultivate their strengths as well as to develop in areas of difficulty.
In the Resource Room, a staff of dedicated professionals works to support children with particular learning needs. This team includes a School Social Worker, a Speech and Language Teacher, as well as Learning and Academic Support Specialists. These specialists communicate regularly with classroom teachers and with parents in order to create a community of support surrounding the children who use the Resource Room.
Working with students one-on-one or in small group settings, Mustard Seed School’s learning specialists provide individualized tutoring in reading, writing, and math. They also empower students with strategies for organization and study skills that enable their independence and success in all areas of the curriculum.
