Next fall Will will attend St. Peter’s Prep as an Ignatian Scholar. He’s looking forward to becoming more independent. Making new friends. Participating in rowing. Track. And baseball.
Reflecting on how he’s grown during his time at MSS, Will points to how much his writing skills have improved. He’s grateful for the help of Ms. Decker, his seventh grade language arts teacher. She made writing interesting. Improved Will’s vocabulary. Pushed him to read more. And taught him to enjoy reading by helping him find books at the right reading level.
Will used to struggle in math but has since become a confident mathematician. He’d like to thank Mr. Lawrence, who sparked Will’s interest in problem-solving by teaching him how to strategically solve algebra problems. Will found Mr. Lawrence’s I LOVE Math Day problems particularly enjoyable and challenging.
Not only has he improved academically, but Will has also matured as a person. Through the many opportunities for service at MSS, Will has become a servant and looks for ways to help people in need. He’s also developed interpersonal skills and become a leader. He plans to put all of these skills to good use in the years ahead. While he will miss Mustard Seed, Will’s eager to move on to the challenges of high school.
