Esther, Class of 2019

June 10, 2019 | Abby Liu

As Esther thinks about attending Saint Dominic Academy in the fall, she hopes to make new friends. Become more independent. Expand her vocabulary. To grow as a writer. And share her ideas with new people.

La clase de español is Esther’s favorite class and it’s one of her strongest subjects. She loves learning new vocabulary. She’s grateful for the support, kindness, and patience of Señora Oro-Hahn. For the encouragement to keep going, even when it’s difficult.

Esther often struggles with math, but she works hard and always tries to improve. In high school, she aspires to find the confidence to ask for help even when she feels afraid. She has a lot of people to thank for their help with math over the years. Her twin sister, Emma, has patiently worked through math homework. Her friend, Vera, has helped with homework and also the math exhibition. Esther would like to thank Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Choi for not giving up on her in math class. For believing in her when she didn’t believe in herself. And finally, Esther would like to thank Mr. Lawrence specifically for helping her through her struggle with Linear Equations.

At MSS, Esther has learned to say what she means and mean what she says. Become more outgoing. A better listener. Kinder. And a servant to others.
