Justus will continue his education next year as an Ignatian Scholar at Xavier High School. He’s excited by the many Advanced Placement class options. Sports teams. And the shorter commute! (Justus travels to Hoboken from Queens every day.)
Math has always been a favorite subject for Justus. He’s especially enjoyed the I LOVE Math Day problems every year. Working through the I LOVE Math challenges, Justus has learned to think critically. Logically. And creatively. These skills have helped him in math and in other subjects, too.
Before his sixth grade year, Justus was uncomfortable with public speaking. The Sixth Grade Memoir presentation gave him the practice that he needed. Prepared him for the eight academic exhibitions in seventh and eighth grade that are a part of the graduation requirement. Now he’s a confident presenter.
If he could travel anywhere, Justus would go to the Swiss Alps. He would sample the food. Explore the small villages. And take advantage of all of the hiking and climbing opportunities.
Justus says that he would not be the person that he is today without his Mustard Seed teachers. He would like to thank them for helping him on his academic journey.
