Brooklyn Botanic Garden

May 25, 2022 | Bridget O'Dowd

We had a beautiful day yesterday while exploring Brooklyn Botanic Gardens! We met with BBG instructors who helped us plant geraniums and learn how to care for them. Then we took a tour around part of the garden. We thought about how we can use our five senses in the garden. We learned about different pollinators and what flowers they are attracted to. We each received our own picture of a pollinator that the children pretended to be. We searched the garden, trying to find the flowers each pollinator would like.

We ate lunch at the garden and stopped for a bathroom break, before heading across the street to Prospect Park. We had so much fun playing in a big open field and even found a tree house made of sticks!
