Expressing Creativity in the Studio

There have been so many exciting things happening in first grade during the first month. We have learned a lot in math, started handwriting practice, and even done some reading! Another exciting thing that has opened up is the Studio.
During our morning work periods, first graders can plan in the classroom, but they can also plan in the Studio. There are 3 places available to the first graders so far: paint, drama, and light table. Take a minute to look at what we’ve done so far (you might even see some artwork come home soon!)
Painting Adventures
Drama has been filled with some amazing structures and wonderful ideas like a shop, a hotel, and the 3 Billy Goats bridge!
We also opened the light table with some magnatiles and some letter tiles! We built our names, made the alphabet, and created shapes and designs.
