The eighth grade students have really impressed me with their resilience, diligence and consistency. They have, for the most part, been keeping up with all their work and have been communicating with their teachers. They are learning to be independent which will serve them well as they get ready for high school next year.
In Algebra, they are continuing to learn more about quadratics as well as preparing for their math exhibitions. In Language Arts, they are finishing their study on the “Epic of Gilgamesh” and in History, they are completing their research on ancient cities; comparing and contrasting two from different regions. They are filling out food logs for Health and exercising using videos in PE. They are working in workbooks and Duolingo in Spanish and completing worksheets in Music.
If we continue to do distance learning after Easter Break, we will have a more scheduled day where students will have daily live sessions with teachers. But for now, please enjoy your break and find times of peace and rest.
