Rivers Class, we honor you for being confident and story-lovers.
You love listening to a story read by the teacher. You learned how to retell familiar stories for your friends using the illustrations as a prompt. You delight in acting out stories from fairytales, nursery rhymes, and the Bible.
You are confident.
In your bodies – zipping coats, running fast, reaching the high sink.
In your learning – playing musical instruments, growing seeds, writing stories.
In your skills – observing and drawing details, writing letters, counting.
In your surroundings – exploring the world, learning about cities, watching nature.
In your community – welcoming new friends, celebrating growing families, helping those who need us.
In God – He listens to our voices, He is with us, He loves us.
Knowing you makes us confident in the future of this world.
Rivers Class, we honor you for being confident and story-lovers.
In the first weeks of the school year, the children drew a self-portrait. We close the year with another self-portrait drawing. These side-by-side photos show the growth in each child’s observation and drawing skills, and stamina.
