In the first six weeks of school teachers and students work hard to establish habits that develop positive, caring classroom interactions as well as study habits and practices that develop good scholarship. We look to develop Joy + Rigor. Next week we take time out of the schedule in order to focus on your child and give feedback on their growth. We also take time to listen to your concerns and questions about their work.

In early December, teachers will use progress reports to inform families of the progress students have made with regards to their own goals, as well as class standards. Some of these standards are considered year-long goals. Therefore, families can expect more “Beginning” or “Developing” ratings for the Fall Term, particularly in that section.
