Spelling Practice Again

Spelling continues on Thursday and Friday with two new tasks!
Thursday is a choice day. Students in the Moon class can choose Rainbow Writing (pictured above). Using rainbow scratch art paper, students see how many times they can write their spelling words and what colors appear!
They can also choose to write sentences using each of their words. Some like to challenge themselves to fit 2 or even 3 words into one sentence!
They can also choose to do splart- see Naomi’s picture below! Instead of coloring in a picture, you use words to fill in the empty space. Naomi drew a face.
On Friday we do a spelling check. Students partner up and quiz each other on their words. Some partners correct each others work, but all partnerships end with a “good job” for their hard work!
