“There ain’t no point in making soup unless others eat it.
Soup needs another mouth to taste it,
another heart to be warmed by it.“
Kate DiCamiilo | Tales of Despereaux
And that is exactly what we did on this Feast Friday.
When the Kindergarten, First and Second graders returned to school from their adventures along the Hudson, they were greeted by the savory aroma of a hearty vegetable soup, simmering in a big covered pot on an electric hot plate!
Cups of soup were served with a chunky piece of crusty baguette for dunking. We’re talking a comfort food soup-sensory embrace that warms the heart!
We asked the children to decide, via a survey, whether they preferred to go to the park or watch a movie.
We then retired to the Studio to watch a movie, Alpha & Omega!
