In the next week, students in grades seven and eight will begin preparing for the Music Exhibition. For this project, students will be creating an audiobook of a fable. Using Soundtrap (a digital audio workstation) and Noteflight (composition software) students will read their fable to create a base track and will then compose a soundtrack to accompany their audiobook. Each class will then create a Google Site of audiobooks that will be shared with the Mustard Seed Community. Students will present their exhibitions on Thursday, November 12 and parents are encouraged to attend.
The music exhibition is designed to accommodate students of all musical abilities. Over the next eight weeks, we will break this project down into manageable pieces that will fit together to create a significant achievement. I can’t wait to see their creativity blossom through this project!
