We Deliver!

December 16, 2021 | Nancy Aberg

On Tuesday the children delivered 89 feet of holiday garland to the Hoboken Senior Center!

All the Seniors were gone when we arrived but Tom Foley, Division Head for Senior Services, greeted us with a warm welcome and invited us to take a photo around their tree.

Our preschool, kindergarten and first graders led this project.   As they worked the children asked what Seniors do at the center.  We explained that they meet often and do things together similar to what we do after school.  Activities like sharing a meal or snack, doing arts and crafts projects, and maybe even playing BINGO.  BINGO got a great BIG hoot and a holler as the children enthusiastically explained how much they LOVE to play BINGO too!

On our walk to the Senior Center we made a brief rest stop for a group photo-op!

Yesterday morning on my way to school I dropped off our letter to the Seniors with the signatures of all our students along with a couple of photos.  Tom Foley was so appreciative.   He plans to frame and hang the photos for the Seniors to enjoy!

Then he pointed to the far wall.

The Senior Center has a new holiday decoration!
